Annina Black is a New York based writer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She recieved her MFA from NYU Tisch’s Department of Dramatic Writing in 2021, where she was presented with the James Purpura Award for Excellence in Screenwriting by the faculty. Her original pilots have been recognized by ScreenCraft, Big Break, and Launch Pad. In 2022, her short film “F*** His Dad” was a finalist for Best Comedy in the New York Short Film Festival. She is currently a development executive for Lucky Doll Productions, a joint venture from producers Lauren Versel and Dolly Hall, with whom she has written and developed two original tv series. Her work examines how women navigate power structures, often through a darkly comedic lens. She is a member of the WGA East.
